We are just getting started and so we haven't established an exact day and gathering time. We are considering Friday or Sunday evenings from 5:30pm-8:30pm CST. The flow will be something like sharing a potluck meal together, worship, teaching and prayer.
For directions to our home and to find out when we'll be gathering, please email irene at:

New to Homechurch? So are we!!!
A little bit of background info....
If you google homechurch, you'll find a variety of articles and websites that will help you get a feel for what homechurch is all about. You'll notice that homechurch and simple church are often used interchangeably. Since we meet in our home, we are sticking with the term homechurch to avoid any confusion.
I thought about adding a link to some of the homechurch websites but too many of them make it sound like homechurch is the BEST/RIGHT WAY and that is just plain troubling to me. I think it's fantastic to feel passionate about the direction God is leading you but not if it somehow claims superiority over what other churches are doing. No, that is not our belief or mission at all so I just wanted to make that clear from the get go. Grace Fellowship Church is one of many, many, many wonderful churches and we do not in any way want to claim that what we are doing is what everybody should do!
When we lived in Birmingham, we were part of Shades Valley Community Church in Homewood, AL. They are also moving in the direction of homechurches, with the hope that their building can eventually be used for ongoing corporate worship for all the various homechurches. Our dear friend and the pastor of SVCC, Mike Garrigan, will provide our spiritual covering for this adventure. Please feel free to visit the SVCC website at www.shadesvalley.org. to get a feel for the church we came from.
Although Mike's sermons are wonderful and available through podcasts, we plan to use sermons and series from various Biblical pastors and teachers.....thanks to the internet and the ability to stream it right through our TV. (It is so exciting to me that we have access to such amazing teaching right in the comfort of our own homes!) Additionally, we'll be able to pipe in fabulous worship videos with lyrics and if you've never worshiped together as a family (with your children), you're in for a real treat.
My hope in posting all of this is to give you some general info but if you think of anything else you'd like to know, by all means, shoot me an email. I'm able to check and reply to emails much more often than Tim can so it's best to email me. Thanks! ~irene page (irenegpage1@att.net)
